Providing a caring environment for homeless families

News:

Graduation:

Two of our mothers: Marianela and Raqueal just graduated from Dover Business School at the Berkeley College. Congratulations !!! We are very proud of you.

Fathers are included:

Just in the middle of April 2012 we launched a new program to give fathers a chance to spend more time with their children and have a dinner with their families.
Members of local churches such as Powerhouse of Clifton, Calvary Temple of Wayne, Jacksonville Chapel of Lincoln Park, Emergence of Totowa and Apostolic Church of Passaic are involved to provide additional support. This is an evening of boys type of fun where kids can be louder and play can be rougher. Dinner is served by Empanata Spanish Grill.

It's the end of the year again and it's the time when we count our blessings and bless those who blessed us.       We would like to thank all our volunteers and donors for making this Holiday Season very special for our families. Thank you all very much for financial support and donation of your time; thank you for cooking, decorating, buying gifts, thank you for music, Christmas show, arts and crafts, thank you for being there for us.

On July 28th, 2009 Hope through Care, Inc. was represented by our President Lilianna Giedrys in Washington DC when she joined the NJ Advocacy Network to End Homelessness for the annual Congressional Reception during which they met with New Jersey Congress and Senate representatives as well as with many organizations that share the same goal of fighting homelessness.

During the reception the proposed budget and new programs were introduced as well as success stories of once homeless individuals and families were shared to inspire the others.

Open House:

On September 17th 2010 we had an official Open House to introduce our Transitional Residence for Families to the sponsors, local officials, agencies and organizations.

We were honored to welcome Mayor James Anzaldi and Ms. Carmen Perez-DePadua, a representative from Congressman Bill Pascrell's office as well as Pastor Paul Rittinger from Jacksonville Chapel and Pastor Mike Weber from the United Reformed Church, the Knights of Columbus of Wayne and the Knights of Columbus ofKinnelon. Since we work closely with the Catholic Charities, Clifton Board of Education, local vocational schools, banks and other businesses we had a pleasure to present our mission and our recent accomplishments to their representatives as well as discuss the possibilities of the future cooperation.

Thank you "Cheffie" Christine for making this event special; we greatly appreciate your donating of time and resources and we also thank Evelyn for helping Christine. You two are a great team !!!

Our children volunteer:

One of the children volunteers to help and serve dinners at the local church. Jarell, we all are very proud of you. We are sure you will be coming back to help.

THANK  YOU ! GREAT JOB !
